Standard and Poor Affirm Isle of Man AA+ Rating

The international ratings agency Standard and Poor has today confirmed its rating of the Isle of Man as AA+ which has been welcomed by the Isle of Man Government.

S&P concludes in its report that the ratings are justified despite strong international pressure, through the island's high per capita income, strong government balance sheet, and consensus-based policymaking.  S&P also commented on the economic growth the Island enjoys compared to its competitors, highlighting its success in attracting business through its low tax regime and investment grants, whilst providing a pro-business approach to growth and new industries.
