Ratification of Tax Co-Operation Agreement with Germany

The Isle of Man government has announced that the two tax co-operation agreements signed with Germany in 2009 were ratified today by Germany.  The agreements include a Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) meeting the OECD international tax standard on transparency and effective exchange of information, and a second concerning the avoidance of double taxation with respect to operating ships in international traffic.

The Isle of Man has now entered into 16 Tax Information Exchange Agreements meeting the OECD criteria and expands on the Island's network of international tax co-operation agreements.  3 double taxation agreements have also recently been signed with European states including Estonia, Belgium and Malta.
